OUR MISSIONARIES
Blake & Laura Weir, Every Nation Ministries
Built on the banks of the River Danube in Hungary, Budapest was established in 1873 with the unification of three historic towns – Buda, Pest and Obuda. It officially became the capital city of Hungary and underwent rapid growth. Connecting Buda and Pest is the historical Chain Bridge.
The River Danube, Hungary’s natural geographical center, is the country’s transport hub. The city is often called the 'Pearl of the Danube'. Today, Budapest is made up of a total of 28 districts. It is the seventh largest city in the European Union.
This year Every Nation will be planting our first church in Hungary. Jeff and Ana Bullock and their four children, along with Blake and Laura Weir and their four children, will head the team that will plant the church in this major European city.
The Weirs currently reside in Budapest. The Bullocks are scheduled to move to Hungary on July 20, 2006. Four more couples will be following throughout the rest of the year and two to three singles are planning to join the team.
While 75% of the team plans to live in Budapest at least 3-5 years, a few are making a two-year commitment and at least three couples feel a long term call to Europe.
The initial main objectives include adjusting to the culture, learning the language, and scouting out locations for church services, office space, and campus outreaches.
The grand opening for the church is targeted in May 2007.

Phillip & Gail Ross, Bright Futures Atlanta
Philip and Gail were called into inner-city Atlanta to work with "at-risk" children and single mothers. In order to get closer to the action, they purchased property across from Ben Carson Middle School, which is now home to Bright Futures Atlanta and the Ross's.
Most of their time and talent is focused on establishing and developing relationships with students attending Ben Carson Middle School. Using Christian-based love, mentoring, programs, and activities, they are making an obvious difference in the lives of the participants and the community.
BFA believes that time spent in safe, upbeat environments creates greater opportunities to instill positive social change. For this reason, participants take part in year-round activities that help keep them "off the streets" and involves them in constructive activities. During the school year, homework and educational success strategies are focused upon daily. Christian values are concentrated on throughout the year.
