Our Values and Goals
OUR VALUES
1. We are a church committed to and dependent on God.
(1 Samuel 12:23; John 15: 1-7)
Our first commitment is to God, depending on Him for everything to fulfill the ministry that has been given to us, recognizing his lordship in every area of our lives.
2. The Bible is the word of God, inspired and infallible, and our only guide in matters of faith.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Joshua 1:8; 1 Peter 1:25; Jeremiah 15:16; John 5:39; Psalms 119:105; Jeremiah 23:29)
The Bible is the inspired word of God, through which He speaks and reveals Himself to man, his nature as well as his purposes. It holds the most sublime revelation of God known to the world, influencing the conduct of man in such a way that it leads to Him.
3. We are a Christ-centered church.
(Ephesians 2:20; Acts 4:11; 1 Corinthians 3:11: John 14:6; Colossians 1:17-18; Ephesians 1:22)
We recognize the deity and authority of Christ, the Son of God and head of the church, the center and foundation of our faith, source of inspiration that motivates our ministry. We recognize his work of redemption on the cross as the author of our salvation.
4. We value people.
(Ephesians
God created man in his image and likeness, so each person has an intrinsic value that has been given him by God. We value and respect the dignity of people, fostering their development, spiritual and personal. We will not play favorites.
5. We value the family as the principal nucleus of our society.
(Ephesians 6:1-4; Genesis 1:27-28; Joshua 24:15; Exodus 20:12)
As a church we understand that God created the family as the first institution and as the basis of society, for the care and formation of moral and spiritual values, where people feel loved, respected, and secure. Therefore, this is an important part of our ministerial focus.
6. We value excellence in the service of God and the Community.
(Colossians 3:17; Ephesians 6:7; Hebrews 12:28; Deuteronomy 10:12)
The Bible teaches that God gave His best when he gave Christ as a sacrifice for our sins, therefore, when we serve Him and our neighbor we should do it with excellence.
7. We are stewards of all that God has put under our responsibility.
(1 Corinthians 4:2; Matthew 25:21; Psalms 24:1; 1 Chronicles 29:14; Romans 14:12; Haggai 2:8)
All that we have belongs to God. Nothing is ours; family, gifts, talents, and time belong to Him. As His stewards we recognize that we must give account to God of everything that he has given into our care.
8. We teach and practice love, forgiveness, and reconciliation.
(1 Corinthians 13; Matthew 6:14-15; Matthew 5:44-45; Matthew 18:23-35; 2 Corinthians 5:18; Matthew 5:21-26; Ephesians 4:2)
Jesus is our example of love, forgiveness, and reconciliation. As his disciples, it is our duty to follow in his footsteps not only within the walls of the church, but without the walls of the church. We must carry out the great commandment of loving one another.
9. We are subject to the authorities instituted by God.
(John 19:11; Matthew 28:18; Romans 13:1; 1 Peter 3:17; Hebrews 13:17)
We believe that the origin of authority is in God Himself, his throne is founded on authority, God has established authorities in the world, the family, and the church. We should respect and be subject to the authority delegated by God. It is necessary, therefore not to look at the person himself, but at the authority which God has vested in them.
10. We are thankful.
(1 Thessalonians 5:18; Deuteronomy 8:10; Psalms 100:4; Colossians 3:15; Colossians 1:12; Galatians 6:6)
We are grateful to God for salvation and the blessings that He has given us, we recognize the labor of the people who have gone before us and contributed to the spreading of the
